Galway Gardaí are investigating a serious incident of criminal damage to a taxi in the city.
Two men threw bricks at a passing taxi in Menlo shortly after 2.30 this morning.
The taxi driver escaped without injury, but over 400 euro worth of damage was done to his car.
Gardai are examining the possibility it could have been racially motivated and are now scanning CCTV footage in a bid to identify the culprits.
