Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Grant Scheme,

Funding for the grant scheme, which will commence in September 2011, is set at €1.5 million to year end. It is proposed to apply €1 million for conversion of qualifying existing wheelchair accessible vehicles and €0.5 million for new applicants for WAV licences.

Wheelchair accessible licence register update
Wheelchair licence holders must now provide their details for the Wheelchair
Accessible Vehicle Licence Register as part of the booking process.
You are required to provide contact details through which your services can

be booked – either your own contact details or those of your dispatch operator
and to state the county or counties in which you provide services and your
normal times of operation. These details will be made publicly available by the
National Transport Authority.
