The most Dangerous Jon in Ireland and the failures of the Garda.
It has to be Taxi driving. At this stage assaults on Taxi drivers don't get reported because Taxi drivers hold the view that Garda just don't give a fu#k. In Waterford the last four reported assaults on drivers ended up in no further contact from the Garda. Drivers have been Stabbed had there teeths knocked out, skulls fractured even killed. The Irish police by there failure to do somthing to prevent this are making all drivers Targets. Unlike the Police and medical staff who enjoy backup from there colleagues when incidents accur. Taxi drivers must rely on the Irish Garda , where responses to such calls have got replies like, "Do you think we are baby-sitters to Taxi drivers?" Another driver in a Rural area having been assaulted was asked to drive the drunk to the Waterford Garda station. Imagine restraining the drunk while driving. Its laughable it it was not so serious. For what ever reason Garda look down there noses at drivers. It's strange considering how many Garda have own taxis and had welfare recipients driving for them. So much for the regulator re-educating them.
