PRISON SENTENCE FOR FURBO MAN FOR NOT PAYING TAXI FARES
A Furbo man was jailed for thirteen months last year at Galway District
Court for persistently refusing to pay taxi fares and for assaulting a taxi driver.
38 year old Brian Curran, of Cnoc na Greine, Furbo, pleaded guilty to not paying
taxi fares on eleven separate occasions last year. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting
a taxi driver while drunk at Salthill Garda Station on October 27 last.
